More About the Tea: Chai is actually the Hindi word for tea and every family has their own chai recipe. A chai begins with boiling milk and a strong black tea. After being combined with the unique spices of a personal chai recipe, the mixture is then boiled again and then served.  Indonesia is one of the largest cocoa producing nations and Jakarta is the hub for this economy. It’s location on the Java Sea has made it an important trading port since the 700’s. The status as a trading port and economic center has created a home for various cultures to be shared.
